A general practice law firm for northeastern Nevada, founded by Orville R. Wilson in 1945 and built on three generations of family tradition.
Our story
Orville R. Wilson founded the firm in 1945. His son, Stewart R. Wilson, joined him in 1967, and his son-in-law, Richard G. Barrows, followed in 1973. In 1998 Rich Barrows’ son-in-law, Robert M. Salyer, joined the firm, and in 2007 the firm welcomed Shawn K. Jones.
Today Wilson Barrows Salyer Jones carries all of those names, and the same commitment: practical, careful legal work for the people and organizations of northeastern Nevada. Our clients include professionals, individuals and families, businesses, corporations, ranches and government entities.
What we stand for
- Family
- The firm has passed from one generation to the next, from Orville Wilson to his son and son-in-law, and from them to the attorneys who lead it today. We bring that same loyalty and care to the families and businesses we represent.
- Tradition
- For more than eighty years we have practiced law in northeastern Nevada, built on long relationships with the people, ranches, businesses and public entities we serve.
- Foundation
- Good legal work starts with a solid foundation: careful advice, clear documents and plans made to last, so our clients can build with confidence.
