Elko is the county seat of Elko County and is the economic hub of northeastern Nevada, comprising Elko, Eureka, and Lander Counties. Elko is on I-80, 300 miles East of Reno; 240 miles west of Salt Lake City, Utah; 240 miles South of Boise, Idaho and 450 miles north of Las Vegas.
